Contest Recap
Thank you for participating in the Northside Pier Fest! We had 135 competitors in 10 divisions. Conditions were great the entire day with the surf at 2-3 feet and fair.
A huge thank you to Arbor Venice for all their generous support and all of the cool 1st place prize decks! We value all our sponsors and can’t put these contests on without you.
Anderson Surfboards contacted us to see if we were interested in raffling off a beautiful 9'2" Finalmente with a Farberow flex fin to help the Maui relief effort and we gladly accepted. Mollusk Surf Shop followed suit and donated the exact same board in white to try to raise even more money!
Steve Siegrest, a VSA member and one of the best surfers in the club won the first board and we know it will be ridden well and cared for. Congratulations Steve!
Friend and VSA member Shep Stern won the main board, and (not being an avid surfer) he immediately donated it back to raise more money at our upcoming silent auction. Huge thanks to Shep for this kind gesture, and keep your eyes on our Instagram account for more details on the board that keeps on giving.
So far, we have raised about $5,000 raffling off these boards. Thank you, Pamela Anderson and Anderson Surfboards, and to Mollusk Surf Shop for these amazing donations. Our thoughts are with the people of Lahaina and Maui; we hope this helps in some small way.
